Infrared Sauna Therapy

Infrared Saunas Versus Traditional

The main difference between infrared saunas and traditional saunas is how they use heat. Traditional saunas use a single heater that heats the air and this hot air heats the user.  Infrared saunas use advanced therapy to promote heat generation in the body with only a small percentage of the heat heating the air. This results in a deeper sweat and at a lower ambient air temperature. Infrared saunas will usually operate between 115° – 135°F, while traditional saunas can get up to 195°F.

We utilize Sunlighten's 3-in-1 full spectrum infrared light therapy. It uses patented Solocarbon heaters with 3 components of near, mid and far infrared in one panel providing the highest dose of infrared on the market. Third- party tested technology ensures the highest emissivity and saunas which are backed by clinical research. Infrared (which means "below red") is the invisible light that is just outside of our visible color spectrum near the red end of the rainbow. Sunlight is made up of 52-55% infrared light. Our infrared sauna will provide you with the benefit of the sun's light without the harmful UV rays. Infrared light has the ability to penetrate human tissue to help produce a host of health benefits, making infrared saunas one of the "hottest" therapies in alternative medicine.
  • Near infrared (NIR) is the shortest infrared wavelength.  Scientific research shows that when delivered at the vital wavelength of 880nm, without extreme heat or light, NIR promotes skin renewal, cell health, wound healing, and tissue growth.

  • Mid infrared (MIR) is a slightly longer wavelength that can penetrate deeper into the body’s soft tissue assisting with increased circulation, accelerated healing and reduced inflammation.

  • Far infrared (FIR) is the longest wavelength offering the deepest penetration into the body at the cellular level. The goal of far infrared is to create a hyperthermia effect by raising your core body temperature. At this deep cellular level, infrared helps cells to vibrate and purge toxins through your sweat. Sweating helps to expel heavy metals, pesticides and environmental toxins.

All infrared sauna sessions include complimentary towel service, filtered water and smart tv options such as Netflix, YouTube or Pandora.
